M3R is a partner in the project “CIRQUA – Integrated Approaches at Local Scale for Enhancing Water Reuse Efficiency and Sustainable Soil Fertilization from Wastewater’s Recovered Nutrients” funded by the PRIMA program (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area). The project brings together 13 partners from 10 countries across 3 continents. The project aims to improve non-conventional wastewater treatment technologies by promoting the use of constructed wetlands as Nature-based Solutions. These systems allow for the recovery and reuse of water in rural areas of the Mediterranean, where water scarcity remains a challenge. Within CIRQUA, M3R is responsible for developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement plan, as well as coordinating biomolecular monitoring activities related to the technologies developed and deployed in the field.
